Your task...

• You will be studying four Native American Tribes.
  

  ~ The Anasazi

  ~ The Sioux

  ~ The Makah

  ~ The Mohawk
  

• You will gather information through virtual field trips.
  
  
• As you venture across the United States, you will take notes on a "First Americans Notetaking Log." You will use the information you collect to help you do a quality final project for each tribe.
  
  
• The Notetaking Log guides you as you learn details about each tribe's:

~ shelter

~ food

~ culture

~ other interesting facts

• You may select your final project format for each tribe studied. You may vary your choice for the tribes studied or you may choose the same format for all four groups. You may choose from the following list:
  
  

~ a poster

~ a triorama

~ a written report

• Choose your project format wisely. A detailed quality project that shows what you know is expected for each tribe.
  
  
• You will be graded according to two rubrics:
  

~ a First Americans content rubric

~ a virtual field trip rubric

• You will be asked to complete a "Student Survey: Evaluation of My Virtual Field Trip Experience." Your input will help to make this a fun, effective learning experience for future students. Thank you in advance for your ideas!
